About Jenna
Made by hand, inspired by coastal charm.
I'm Jenna George — a maker, collector, and lifelong lover of the coast. Every piece I create is inspired by my surroundings and made with love.
Where it all began
I grew up spending summers on the water, filling my pockets with shells before I had any idea what to do with them. It wasn't until years later — after a career where I designed for other peoples brands — that I found my way back to making things with my hands.
What started as a way to fill a quiet afternoon became something I couldn't stop. I began arranging shells into wreaths for friends, then frames, then mirrors. Each piece felt like a small act of preservation — a way of holding onto a particular morning, a particular stretch of beach.
I am happy to make pieces on commission for people who want to bring a little of that feeling home.
The process
Every piece starts with journey.
Gathering
I collect shells, wreath bases, and other coastal items that speak to the tri-river life. Each material is chosen for its shape, colour, and texture. My experience as a designer supports my visual decisions.
Sorting & selecting
Back in the studio, I sort through what I've gathered and begin to see what wants to become what. Some pieces suggest themselves immediately; others wait months for the right companion.
Making
Everything is assembled by hand — no shortcuts. I work slowly, adjusting until the piece feels right. The goal is always something that looks like it could have washed up that way.
Commission
For commissioned pieces, I work closely with each person to understand what they're looking for — the feeling, the space, the story. Then I work your vision into reality.
